IS Sportsdirect a SCAM? grifter
On 28 November 2022 I made a purchase of £174.83 with order number APPSD40000094984005. Hussein from Skynet cargo company told me: “Applicable taxes and duties – 30% of the declared value of the shipment!!! Due to recent customs changes in Turkey – charges beyond Skynet’s control will be applied by customs for all shipments over EUR 150. These can be around 140%. If you choose not to accept the fees, we will return the package to the sender and you will be refunded.” forward your note. While the package was in London, I asked sportsdirect to return it and placed a new order for under 150 Euros.
However, Skynet official Hussein sent both packages to Turkey. UPS Cargo called me in Turkey and asked for information about customs procedures. I also requested a return of £174.83 package to sportdirect with order number APPSD40000094984005 from UPS cargo. Package sportsdirect was delivered on 09.01.2023 (40 days ago). Although they stated that they would pay within 14 days, they still have not been refunded.
As the shipping address of the package; I wrote the name and address of my wife, who is open during the delivery hours. I am writing for a refund from my Sportsdirect account. They reply I am sorry that name is not connected to the account. My wife writes from my account, they reply I am sorry that name is not connected to the account.
