My complaint:

After cancelling my subscription to Shaw academy in October 2020, and recieving a ation email stating I will not charged further as well as ing my account cancellation, I was shocked to see that on the 7th February 2021 £49.98 had been taken from my account by Shaw academy.

After attempting to reach out to Shaw academy several times regarding this, I finally had a response stating that my account had been ‘reactivated’ and thus have been charged. I had no reason to reactivate my account and definitely did not click any reactivate button (after checking through the hundreds of spam emails from Shaw academy, I found two emails titled notice: you’ve dropped out and don’t be a dropout, both of these had reactivate buttons yet I’ve only read the emails after the 7th of February).

Still wanting a refund, they now say that our system tried processing the payment multiple times but due to some glitch the payment was not successful. When our system tried once again recently the payment was successful due to which you were charged. As you have canceled the subscription after the renewal date we are unable to process the payment. Unfortunately, we will not be able to process the refund as per our terms and conditions., Completely ignoring the fact I have email ation stating I will not be charged further after cancellation in October 2020.

I have contacted my bank and they will be looking into this as a case of fraud, but I want my money back.
