My complaint:
Yesterday on 11192020 I purchased $28.50 worth of groceries. After arriving home I realized that all my meat which amounted to $20.14 including tax was not in the bags. I normally go to this market 2-3 times a week, so I am a regular customer. I try to avoid this particular cashier mainly because she is always in such a big hurry. This day however, there were only five people in the whole store and no one in the line behind me. After going home and realizing the mistake I took the receipt back to the store. The manager told me in so many words this was a tough break that the person behind me got my meat. I have missed items before, just recently my maple syrup and pancake mix were missing for which, I did nothing about. Other small items how also been missing. Several times my heavy drinks weren’t doubled bagged and I dropped them in the parking lot. MY point is, the bags are behind the counter so, I think it is the responsibility of the cashier to make sure all the items are taken. Instead I was treated by both the manager, and the cashier (Tracey) as if I was trying to steal extra food. Just so you know my husband and myself have operated a successful business for fifty years just blocks away from this store. We are very well respected in this community, we would never dream of taking something we weren’t entitled to. I used my discover card to paid for this transaction.
Suggested solution:
I would like to be paid for the items I didn't receive, or given the merchandise.
