My complaint:

I have my taxes paid through my Escrow account at Rocket Mortgage. My home is a new townhome that was purchased Dec 2021. They did attempt to pay my spring taxes, but money was sent back to them. This was due to the home being new and some taxes had already been paid by the seller. Anyway, the home was reassessed in March 2022 and more taxes were due aka SupplementalsInterim taxes. Rocket Mortgage refused to pay these taxes stating that it is common practice for ALL mortgage companies not to pay these, so the bill falls back on me. I am now delinquent on my taxes as I was not made aware of this until after the end of the year. Because I do not have that large a lump sum of money to pay these taxes personally, but the money IS in my escrow account to pay these, my home is going to the Sheriff’s office. Rocket refusing to pay them. I called my settlement company about this, and they said it makes no sense and this is not common practice. At closing the taxes that would be due as supplementals was paid and put into that escrow account. This is what that money was for. I had a terrible time getting someone to address this issue to begin with. Took me 5-6 calls to finally get someone to investigate this. They drug it out for over a week. I would NEVER recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone. They DO SELL YOUR MORTGAGE to someone else, but they continue to manage the payments and such. Another lie I was told at the time I got the mortgage.

Suggested solution:

They wont
