My complaint:
On 22.1.2019 at 3.15 I answered the door to two men. They asked if a certain person lived at this address, which I told them they did not. They said they were from the court with papers. I replied ‘has this got anything to do with me, am I the such person their looking for?’ Sorry I cannot help. I saw one of them go to my neighbors house. The other one must also have gone to another house as he was not in the car they came in, but was not sure which house he went to as he went out of my sight. An hour after they left my neighbor came around and said that a man had come to her door and said he could not get anyone to answer at No 10, ( which is untrue ) and did a certain person live there? She said that this put her in a very difficult position and she was not willing to answer. I find this very intimidating and invades my privacy. I told specifically that this such person Did Not Live Here, which they do Not. Since the person they were looking for was not the owner of the house they called at,how have they the right to go to my neighbors ask specific questions. They were told they did not live here and they should have accepted that. My self and my husband have never been involved in any crimes at all and consider ourselves to be good thoughtful neighbors.
