My complaint:

I was charged a $51 service fee and called customer assistance to inquire what this was for. I was told that it was for multiple ATM charges, which baffled me considering I use only one ATM and it is thePeople’s United Bank ATM located a minute down the street from where I live. When I realized what the charges were from it was from 2 different dispensaries One in Westfield and the other in Easthampton. I purchased items from these stores, never used an ATM, purchased with there chip card reader, and am still being charged $51 because the bank does not know why it went through as an ATM? This is totally not fair or right considering I have receipts and can prove that an ATM was not used. I have used this bank for 7 years and will now be looking into shutting my account down. Simply can not afforded to be robbed of money for a ATM charge when I again, did not use an ATM!
