My complaint:

I shopped in Lidl Epsom on 29 October 2024 and apparently overstayed the 90 mins. parking allowance. I am 82 yrs of age, live alone, had recently had facial surgery and had not been able to shop for a while. I had a longer than usual shopping list (over £ 115 worth). I was unaware I had spent so much time in your shop buying, waiting to go through the cash desk, pack my shopping, load my car and return my trolley. I could not have done it any faster.

I have appealed the fine, but would like to know how I am going to manage my sizeable X- mas shopping if I cannot manage to shop, pack and pay and depart within 90 mins ? I hope my wish to stay independent, albeit somewhat slower than 10 yrs ago won’t be curtailed by arbitrary parking time and a punitive fine. I did attach bank statement, disabled parking permit and proof of age with my ParkingEye Ltd appeal.

Suggested solution:

Wave the fine - it is too early to rate me Parkineye experience. Lidl might consider a longer parking allowance for its disabled customers.
