My complaint:
Hello, I work at the Ollie’s in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and I was dismissed unfairly two days ago. Since I began working there, my manager Jay has been making fun of me and has even gone so far as to call me slow and use other derogatory terms. I’ll admit that on the day I was fired, I was tired of being picked on and said some hurtful things I shouldn’t have. However, I don’t think I deserved to be let go because I’m one of their most dependable employees and I consistently show up for work, even when I’m not supposed to. I never got my 30-minute break that particular day and I went to the bathroom without letting him know where I was going. He asked me why I didn’t tell him where I was going and I said “I’m grown I shouldn’t have to tell you when I need to go pee” and he said news flash yes you do have to tell me I’m your manager he’s been picking on me ever since I started working there, and when I told him I was tired of him picking on me, he went on to say that if you are tired, you could clock out and never come back, which I found odd.
Why would I be fired when there are so many employees at that exact site who snooze while at work and arrive two to three hours late? I turn up and do the job. Please respond to me as soon as you can; I need to know whether or not I’ve been fired, and none of them are answering. Ollie’s will soon hear from my attorney if I am fired. This is wrongful termination.
