My complaint:
We have really enjoyed New Amsterdam. It’s a great show with lots of great characters, topics, drama, etc. One of the things we particularly enjoy about it is it’s lack of gratuitous sex. Imagine our disappointment when the opening scene a couple of weeks ago was an obnoxious and atypical sex scene! What made it worse was that it was a gay sex scene. My wife and I are both health care workers and the show has been great to watch, but the sex scene didn’t have anything to do with the plot of the episode! It was unneeded, unsolicited and a major disappointment. After having watched the show religiously, we have been very pleased with it’s content, but this scene made us cringe.It’s sad that such a thing was on prime time TV. Please refrain from this kind of unnecessary stunt.
