My complaint:
I’ve been a follower of NBC News from the early days with Dave Garroway all through the years to Lester Holt. It’s been my view that the talent of the personalities and management was good and the product consistent. Until this world-class scheduling blunder, pitting Trump’s Town Hall against Biden’s on ABC. Why would you do that? Bowing to Trump’s wishes, despite his tantrum-laced departure from a “virtual” event? And this, at the time when the viewing public needs to gauge the stature and presidential fitness of the candidates. Along with many fellow citizens, I rate this as a major failure of public trust that cannot be condoned.
Suggested solution:
1. Reschedule Trump’s Town Hall broadcast.
2. Failing that, an apology from NBC management to be aired on every news program, Thursday, October 15.
