My complaint:
Hello,
I am writing because I am upset about a decision that was made by NBC. I was told that, after being promised a quick video speech from one of the NBC anchors and a having a special musical guest, the senior class of North Salem was told they were not going to be able to. The North Salem graduates were told they were no longer having this amazing gift of celebrity guests because NBC was putting ‘funds elsewhere’.
I am pretty certain I can guess where these funds are going in the climate of the country. However, I am disappointed that these special guests wouldn’t volunteer their time to give a little glimmer of light in such a dark time.
I understand there really is no middle ground in this country right now. No one can win either way they look, think, feel. However, these kids are the future of the country and to put the obvious politicised view and focus of any (and I mean any) network is disappointing.
I truly hope there is someone within the staff at NBC that has kept their head about them and will see that focus should be put in our future generations to teach them independent thinking, research (and again and again) like a true journalist, to have empathy, love and respect for everyone, instead of fuelling the current and continuing troubles.
