My complaint:
I have been scammed of my funds from an official Klever wallet (Cryptocurency) staff member who is working within the Klever official Telegram group. I had been trying to send out USDT all day from my Klever wallet but I kept receiving a notice that I’m required to have at least 1 trx to cover fees. I went ahead and purchased $50 worth of trx. I was still being blocked from sending my USDT to an external wallet. I decided to get in touch with the official Klever wallet Telegram group.
Once I was on the group, I posted my issues regarding not being able to send out my USDT… The group was busy and had a lot going on. Nobody came to my aid. I decided to look for an admin. I trawled through previous post and identified an admin who had previously pinned a post within the group. I asked for assistance and he proceeded to assist. He apologised for the issues that I was having and we began our chat. I then decided that I would be able to explain what difficulties I was experiencing better if I had the chat privately. So I clicked on his image and it went to his private chat. This admin told me after some time that he had identified my problem. This was after he had asked me for the wallet address that I had used to receive my USDT on…
He again apologised, and explained that there was an error on the Klever wallet database. But it would be cleared up soon. – I waited and nothing happened. When I asked about this further, he claimed that I will need to validate my account. I asked him how would I do that. He said that I should click on a link that he dropped in the chat and I should provide my 12 word phrase that would validate my wallet on the Klever database… Since I’m speaking with an official member of the Klever Telegram group, and he’s not asking me for the phrase himself, I proceeded to do as he asked. I submitted my 12 word phrase into the form as he instructed. The next thing that happened was my balance of near $600 had vanished. I told him this… He then asked me to make a purchase of some trx and it will clear the system, and my balance will reappear! Obviously at this stage I immediately became suspicous.
I then went onto the main Telegram group and began to continue our conversation there for everyone to see… This Admin immediately wiped clean the entire chat that had occurred in private. Everyone within that group then began telling me that I had been scammed by an imposter. That it was not the admin who had been in the chat with me.
I was very careful prior to engaging in conversation with this admin. I looked at his past messages, plus I also connected with him due to his pinned message and his engagement with other group members. Our chat was not initiated by him. It was me who approached him… He did not suggest that we engage in private chat. That was my idea. This official member of Klever wallet staff saw an opportunity to scam me of near $600, and that is exactly what he did.
I was only able to take a screenshot of the private chat room after he had cleared the chat, but I want this taken seriously and looked into. I have submitted the screenshot for your perusal.
Please get back to me in regards to this matter. I refuse to back down from this. I can tell you that this was not some random scammer. It was a member of the Klever wallet staff of which I have withheld his name until this matter is seriously looked into.
The image of the empty chat room signifies that this was indeed an official admin of the Klever wallet Telegram group by the star marking displayed on the chat room. Please study the image carefully and let me know if I’m correct in my assumption.
Suggested solution:
I wish to be fully reimbursed by Klever wallet, and of course they need to fire the staff member involved.
