My complaint:
I was in Kareena Private Hospital at Sutherland a year or so ago. I was being wheeled into recovery when I asked the nurse what time it was. She said you won’t remember anyway. She could have just as easily told me the time instead of being rude. I did remember.
Then she was checking my blood pressure and I realised she had put it on my left arm where there was notification not to use that arm as I had had breast cancer. Another nurse then came over and the rude nurse said she was laying on it as if it was my fault!
I found her very rude and unprofessional.
I needed surgery last December and could have had it at Kareene and as it involved anaesthetic I chose to go elsewhere. I only went to Kareena this time as no anaesthetic was involved.
Suggested solution:
I would like the nurse to be more understanding of patients coming out of anaesthetic and to realise the patient can hear what they say.
Also she needs to be more to the arms bands saying no blood pressure etc.
I felt she didn\'t care about me and didn\'t want to be there
