My complaint:
The Epoch Times is a conspiracy newspaper owned and controlled by a religious organization called the Falun Gong. Every time I see the newspaper rack this newspaper is prominently displayed in the middle of the stores publications for sale. It always strikes me as Jewel supporting this news organization. The Morris Jewel is located in a conservative area and I fear this newspaper and Jewel are actively promoting misinformation and conspiracy theories. It isn’t good for the community or for Jewel’s public relations.
Suggested solution:
1. Remove The Epoch Times from newspaper publications sold at Jewel. Supporters can pay for it online. Jewel can't be making large profits from the few papers sold here anyway.
2. Put a blinder over the newspaper, so potential customers have to remove it to see stories listed on the front cover.
3. Cover the headlines for all the newspapers. This may seem ridiculous, but its better than enabling a far right news organization with ties to a religious leader in China.
