My complaint:

Several months back a gentleman from Infinite Energy convinced me that if I would stay with Infinite Energy for 2 years, our bill would be on a fixed rate and they would give us the wonderful Nest (to save money) for free. Since that time our bill continues to grow even though we turn it off and live without heat. I contacted Infinite Energy today and spoke to Kim, who to sum up, basically said, Sorry about your Luck. I was told I could break contract for $350 and $150 for this POS Nest thermostat. Even though my son installed the Nest. The representative told me I have no choice. I understand contracts yet am to the point I’m almost unable to pay my bill since it continues to go up. My husband and I are retired and cannot continue to pay these charges, which I feel are not the case. I have all of my previous bill for 2 years and since NEST there is a definite spike in usage. Also, I am told we are on fixed rate billing which appears not to be the case. Our rate fluctuates. I am disgusted with the blatant arrogance and condescending attitude of Infinite Energy and just want to be rid of them.

Suggested solution:

I would like to be rid of Nest, negotiate a lower rate and be treated as human beings. Since retiring, this has become a trend and Infinite Energy needs to train representatives in customer service and compassion, also, truthfulness. I feel like I was fooled into this contract. Please help.
