My complaint:
Approximately two and half weeks ago my husband received his unemployment but didn’t have a bank to send it to so he asked me to stop by Walmart and get his funds to
be send to Greendot. I bought the card for him but put my information, unemployment ( Ohio) where my husband lives sent it to the routing and account number I provided. I moved to Florida with my mom to find a job, once my husband received his funds he can relocate as well.
The problem is since my husband name not on my account I had to send my identification ( which I did) 48 hours later when it was still a block I called again Greendot now requesting my husband identification. I sent that information now two weeks later their asking for a direct deposit formfrom unemployment. Ohio unemployment states there is no forms, direct deposit slips or anything they can send Greendot because once it leaves their office it’s out of their hands.
I again called Greendot and asked for more options Greendot tells me that is the only option. I asked them to cancel the payment and send it back to sender. The reply Greendot gave me is call Unemployment and asked them to request funds back!!! But I already explained to Greendot once it leaves unemployment it’s no longer their responsibility.
Suggested solution:
Im asking them to release my funds either to my card OR send the funds back to sender and we can deal with them instead.
