My complaint:
Recently I purchased a green dot card from 7-11 location Lakewood NJ 08701 I was informed that I would have to load money for me to use the card . I loaded $500us , two to three days later after activation of my card I attempted to use my green dot cat at another 7-11 location Howell NJ 07731 and my card was declined surprising plus embarrassing to say the least. I immediately contacted customer support because I was unable to use the green dot application which I was instructed to do . I was informed by the customer service department which was in the Philippines that I would be unable to use my newly bought green dot card anywhere nor would I be able to transfer any funds nor use a ATM but could only make online purchases with my card. No where on the package does it specifications mention any of this that was stated to me by customer service. I was devastated and immediately had a nervous melt down as I initially purchased this card because I am a day trader I invested in bitcoins and was unable to secure my transaction of 16,000$ USD due to my $500 USD that was loaded. I will be suing GreenDot for False Advertising plus emotional stress

Same issue and B.S. from their CSR’s in the Philippines. See my complaint under ” how am I to take care of family Green Dot? I have a few ideas at the end of complaint. Read and let me know. I have a good 10-15 day wait for my personalized card so it looks like I’ll be busy informing others on this site that there are other ways to resolve this. Class action lawsuit or take them to small claims court are a few off the top of my head. Good luck you are going to need it.
