My complaint:
I bought the card for my son’s graduation gift and loaded money on to the card. The Pandemic hit and stores were closed. I then loaded more money on to the card when we were finally able to go into stores again. There was a total of $300.00 on the card. We received our vaccine and went to use the card and it said it was closed due to inactivity and we could no longer use the $300! We have never used a Visa Green Dot card before so none of this was explained. I think this is very bad business and I plan on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also the Federal Trade Comission. How can you offer a gift card that you cancel and keep the money for? I’ve never heard of such a thing. It’s truly sad that my son can not enjoy his graduation gift. If I knew this I would never have purchases your rip off SCAM Visa Gift Card!
Suggested solution:
You should resolve this by providing us with a new Visa gift card with the money on it so my son can use it for his graduation gift. If you need to deduct a small service charge fee for the card that is fine but to keep the full $300 on a card that was never ever used is just terrible. That is a rip off and and total scam! Please resolve this or I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission.
