My complaint:
I purchased my 2015 Buick Encore (blue) in Nov of 2018. I love my car. I noticed about a year ago paint on the trim on the sides of my windshield coming off. Initially I just thought maybe I scraped it with a snow brush.(I live in NJ).
When I went.out to my car Sunday, Oct 15, 2023, I noticed that a large area of paint was MISSING! Not scratched or scraped off…just missing. And the paint on the area is bubbling!!!! Nothing out of the ordinary happened to my car. I had come home from a road trip to Richmond. VA the night before. I went to an auto collision place near me. They said it was too big and expensive of a job and they wouldn’t do it because it looked like there was a problem with the application of the paint. They suggested to go to a GMC dealer.
I went to the buick service dept at FC Kerbeck in Palmyra,NJ. Initially they.were curt with me, insisting GM only warranties their paint for 3 years., and that they couldn’t do anything. I’ve seen numerous other posts about the blue paint on 2015-16 Buick encores. This NOT an isolated incident. GM needs to take responsibility…. and help us get this fixed!!!!
Suggested solution:
Admit there was a problem, then help us get our vehicles painted.
