As an avid consumer of FB pies for the past 40 years, I am leaving the brand.
Latterly, there has been less less beefsteak or kidney in the pie.
I recently purchased a pie from the new 33% More Meat – New Improved Recipe range.
Lesson 1: 33% of nothing, remains nothing!
I reviewed online customer critiques of this product going back months.
The majority criticised the appalling lack of discernible meat in the filling.
Lesson 2: Fray Bentos management are simply NOT LISTENING to its customer base!
Lesson 3: Paying £1.50 for a tin of empty puff pastry is bordering on a rip-off:
Bye bye Fray Bentos, I’ll not be back!
Re-work the product to provide good, honest value for money, even if that means a modest price increase.
Stop making a play on words when describing the product.
Using terms such as 33% more meat is a clear travesty - in this case, if factually. correct, it simply demonstrates how bad the preceding recipe had become!
