My complaint:
Hi. This is Mike Evans in reference to FSI Race Day Show 2-27-22 prior to the Xfinity race. I was born and raised in the mountains that are in back of the Auto Club Speedway, Fontana Ca.
On several occasions your announcers have referred to the mountain peak behind the racetrack as Mt Baldy. The 2-27-22 show was the most recent. The female host gave Larry McReynolds and Jamie McMurray a short quiz and asked the name of the peak behind the track. They identified it as Mt Baldy. That mountain is not Mt Baldy. It’s Cucamonga Peak, elevation 8,854 ft. Mt Baldy or Old Baldy as we called it in my younger days is Mt San Antonio, elevation 10,064. This mountain can’t be seen from the racetrack because it is several miles behind Cucamonga Peak. There is a plaque at the top identifying Mt San Antonio as Mt Baldy. Mt Baldy can be seen from LA and the upper desert area around Victorville but not Fontana. For further reference on computer go to What mountain peak in So CA is nicknamed Mt Baldy.
Suggested solution:
Please have your announcers refer to the peak in question as Cucamonga Peak, not Mt Baldy.
