My complaint:
I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and didn’t have hot water the last 2.5 days. I chose to stay inside my room and work the day they posted a sign in the lobby telling customers about a water heater repair and that there would be no hot water for a period of hours. Had I known, first, I wouldn’t have gone to the fitness room and second, I would have showered that day so I wouldn’t have to check out 2.5 days later feeing less than fresh. In addition, the checkout time was posted in the room as noon. I went outside to put a few things in the car around 11 am and came back to find my key card no longer worked. I had to find someone to let me back in my room and then returned to find a cleaning lady trying to get in my room to clean when I had a privacy sign on my door. She didn’t speak English well but seemed to be anxious to get in my room and kept asking me how long I would be. Needless to say, I couldn’t feel that I could relax the last hour of my vacation and left frustrated and stinky. Not a great end to a trip which was booked for the sole purpose of relaxation after Christmas.
Suggested solution:
I feel that Marriott should at least compensate me for the 2 days I did not have hot water. Had I known this would be an issue, I would have stayed somewhere else. At the least they should have mentioned it to me when I first checked in so I would know.
