My complaint:

my name is Maria Utracka 6 Conlon Cr Thorold, why You charging me twice, 1-directly from my account sept 1 and by enbridge
plus I asked You few times and nobody responded to me

Back in June of 2016, I purchased an air conditioner unit from . The sales agent for verbally told me it was a 5 year term after which I would own the unit. went out of business and Crown Crest Capital took the contract over at some point. Then several months ago, I found out that the contract I had signed a 10 year term. They provided me with a copy and it does appear that I did sign a 10 year term. But the print for the 120 months (10 years) is incredibly small, and again, I was verbally told it was a 60 month (5 year) term. And when I do the math, the air conditioner unit, which retails for about $3,000, will cost me well over $11,000 over the 10 years. To date, I have more than paid for the cost of the unit. To date, I have yet to call for a single service call. It’s time to simply break the terms of this contract as I was verbally told one thing and sold another.
Desired Outcome

Crown Crest Capital needs to acknowledge this is unethical business practice, and simply terminate the contract with me.

Hi , Thank you for sharing your concern, I look forward to reaching a mutual understanding with you. I have investigated your claims of a 5 year term and have failed to find anything that corroborates this. Upon review of your signed agreement, on the cover page it is clearly and transparently noted Term 120 Months. . The terms and conditions of the agreement will also explain the term of the agreement. Further to the signed agreement, I have located you third party verification call recording, which was conducted after signing the agreement. During this call, it is again mentioned and ed that the initial agreement term is 120 months. A 5 year term is not something that has ever been offered, however, should you be in a position to provide something to substantiate your claims I will be happy to take that into consideration and review our position. (The consumer indicated heshe DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept this. I was mislead and was verbally told it was a 5 year term. So please provide the actual cost of the unit and the cost of a 5 year maintenance program and I will pay for that. I am not paying for a 10 year maintenance program or financing for 10 years.
and You never maintenance this unit anyway, this is from BBBwas 5 years contract what I was told by agent, then when they sent the rest of the contract, they put 15 years, I never read that contract because the agent said is the same as per our conversation, then I called him, they told me that he not working there anymore, You send people door to door to lie to older people, until we wanted to buy the AC, and my son told me that they put 15 years , not 5, I had working AC that they took ,because the new one had to be better and I will pay less for hydro, this is not the truth again, is taking more hydro than my old one, they never offered any pay for my working AC, now You want me to pay incredible price for AC, normally cost 3500$ the most expensive is 5000$ but Your company wants me to pay outstanding 10 years , so with every year increase of rental will be another 8000$ or more, so Mr President I would like to ask You for better price on this unit, plus Mr President, I don’t trust Your company for preauthorized payments, so need every month bill for AC and hot water tank, that is in Your possession
and I pay rental, I am 74 years old , I wanted to sell the house, nobody wants AC rental, I wrote to Your company many times and You never responded to me, so don’t put on BBB webside that You contacted me in writing or otherwise, your people are only make treaths nothing outs, how I can trust Your company when I have so many problems with You, plus You or Green Planet never made maintance to this Unit, that has to be done by You every year , plus our conversation with agent was never recorded, so is how you sayng 120 moths is 10 years not 15, so is 3500$ not over 8 to 10000$, so pls make sure that Your people will send the propostion to buy the contract, I am very upset with You people making treats that will go to collection company, my bills were always paid , enbridge was sending me bills, not preauthorization payments, where is my account number that I don’t have to revile to You or to anybody, I am sorry but I will never gave to nobody my acct number to still money from me,my last bill was paid in August of 2022.

I paid until aug the bills not reauthrized payments to enbridge, Enbridge is solid company, but Your company are thieves, and I don’t trust You with my bank account, because the change from Green Planet another liers like You, I wanted to buy from You the AC, but You people are thieves and want from me another 10000 so all together AC that normal price is 3500 $ will cost me 14000 $, so You are thieves and I don’t trust You with my count, I need a bill for every month to pay, that You will not steel more money from my account, my lawyer said that You have to make bill, I need normal price rebuy AC from You, my bills were paid regularly, so don’t scare me with a bailiff, plus the AC never been maintance by You or Green Planet, so didn’t put up with contract, because contract said 1 time a year have to be maintance by You , but You never did it ,I am also writing to CBC to tell them about your business, I am 74 years old, and I was lied by agent, he took my working Ac, he told me that after 5 years I will pay around 1000 $ to be mine what is not the truth, after I signed they send contract for 15 years so both of you are thieves and stilling from low income people like me, your workers are calling and calling, how I can give my account to company that I don’t trust, so give me good price for EC and live me alone, or we will go on the news and to court, what You are doing is scamming people, consumers, I want my bill every month and I will pay You, but not prepaid from my bank account, because You are not trusted company, see You in court and don’t make people scared with your threats ,every time You call me You make threats, this is not what normal company is doing, so reconsider my intention to buy my AC with normal price.

I told You that I don’t trust You and will not give You any info on my account, is Your problem, every month You send the bill and I will pay, You took over business from Green Planet, I wasn’t informed about changes, because are problem with You and green planet, AC and water heater never been maintance, the AC is not working as I was told is taking more electricity that my old one the took it, I was lie from the start, take Your equipment and let me go, instead of 5 years contract they sent to me 15 years contract, now You want for this equipment another 14000 so all of it, will cost me over 17000$, I never in my life saw AC that cost so much money, is from gold, maybe, I want You to give me reasonable price and let me go, I am 74 years old, that You people cheated on, I will go to TV people and will show to everybody who You are, thief’s and nothing outs, I sent two letters to You without response
