My complaint:

I was treated rudely and physically abused by a nurse practitioner on 1122022. I complained to the Ombudsman on 122822 and received a call on 1923 with the message to call a number that does not accept incoming calls. I received a call the next day but no message. I complained to the director of Cleveland Clinic on 11223 and heard nothing. I filed complaints on 12223 with Ohio Dept Health, Board of Nursing, Civil Rights, and Joint Commission and received a call from the Ombudsman the next day. She had the audacity to state she had tried to call me back previously and now wanted to talk to me. I told her I wished to talk to a more responsible party, someone who would discuss my complaint seriously. The only response I got from anyone since was the Ohio Dept Health who suggested I take this up with the Board of Nursing. I reminded them that it started as a complaint about a nurse but now included Cleveland Clinic’s lack of acceptable response. I asked them for at least a written response and received nothing. I can provide a detailed description of the episode on 11222, the one I provided all the above, if you wish.

Suggested solution:

The agencies I registered complaints with should investigate and recommend appropriate measures be taken to include assurances to me and disciplinary action with this nurse. Cleveland clinic should assure me that I will not again be mistreated by their staff and that they have taken appropriate disciplinary action with this nurse. My family has sought treatment at Cleveland Clinic for years and we consider it an invaluable medical resource.
