My complaint:
We booked our 25th Anniversary Celebration Vacation with Callaway Gardens months in advance to insure everything would be great.
(August 11 – 14, 2021)
The representative assured me our Suite was lake view with mini kitchenette including a microwave, large refrigerator comfortable balconies.
We longed for a Lakeview Suite after being confined stressed for the past 2 years of the Pandemic.
Sadly upon arrival our Suite was actually Resort view with a partial Lake view from the bedroom balcony only. Also
we had a mini refrigerator so we couldn’t fit foods we brought.
We were told they were full and we should have booked a different Suite. (I believed Callaway Gardens reservationist knew the configuration).
I was also told by the
Front desk Manager that being a Pescatarian was no problem as there was many food options in the Restaurants which we can bring to our Suite, and Friday was a Buffet.
However after seeing how full the Restaurants were and preferring in room dining we were told we could not purchase the items from Buffet.
The regular menu was out of Fish. I offered to pay for two side if they’d take a piece of Catfish off the buffet , they said NO.
I ate leftovers from my Suite that night. So dissatisfied.
The Balconies were full of spider webs on the railings, base of the doors and chairs. Also heavy bird droppings. When it rained bugs came into the Suite.
House keeping came twice but never cleaned them all so we couldn’t enjoy relaxing on the balconies. (See photos).
Sadly, very disappointed on this 25th milestone Anniversary
celebration.
