My complaint:
Price in the meat case was $8.88 a pound for porterhouse steaks. There were three steaks in the case but I only chose one because the other two were too thick. I went to the counter to ask for more and was told that they would have to be cut. I requested one inch thickness and ordered four. When I was handed the steaks they had $13.99 a pound on label. I asked the butcher to fix the pricing but he said only the steaks in the case were $8.88 and the ones he gave me were freshly cut. I insisted that the price in the case said Porterhouse Steaks $8.88 which it did.
The manager was called but she agreed with the butcher. I asked why then didn’t the sign say for the meat case only and that it was cheaper because of the date. No reasonable explanation was given to me except the prices in the case and the prices at the butcher stand are different.
I’m so upset and just left all my meat and left.
Suggested solution:
They should have honored the $8.88 price for the four porterhouse steaks.
I’d like that.
