My complaint:
My client and myself used Big Bus company to get around Paris on Thursday 10th August 2023. My client is a nearly 80 years of age was a bit hesitant of using a Bus she is disabled and uses a wheel walker.
On asking a ticket seller if she could take her walker on we paid bought the tickets and our first journey started and 1st stop was amazing staff couldn’t be more helpful disabled Bus with ramp put down on her exit excellent customer support.
Next we got on and this was also ok driver didn’t help my client off but we was ok. We got back on driver didn’t help once again and our next stop was at the Grand Palais staff was amazing getting of her and also on our return obviously we was getting later in the day and it was very busy but the ticket seller was fantastic he folded the walker down and assisted on to bus.
We then got off at the Eiffel Tower I asked my client to remain in her seat so I could get her walker out driver passed me didn’t help exit with walker but it was ok he was chatting with the next driver who was taking over I the approach the back exit door to get client off and she was just getting down the 3 steps just the last one I spotted the driver jump on the bus and he proceeded to close doors I screamed at him to stop and he got off and said Sorry then just got back on my client was very shaken up as the door had trapped her arm and I had tried to keep the door from closing this was very traumatic for her.
I told him I would report him and he had passengers waiting to get on he just shut the doors and couldn’t get away fast enough I have enclosed pictures of bus reg and photos of my clients arm she was very shaken up by this he just didn’t look or check to see if everyone on had got off I am really upset by this happening he was lucky she hadn’t gone another step otherwise it could have been more serious thank you
Suggested solution:
They should make there drivers more aware of disability and elderly people getting on and off they have good staff but there are few letting the company down
