My complaint:
While watching Qand A tonight, a young audience member tried to ask a question to the panel re Ukraine. The young fellow was not given the chance to complete his question fully.
However, some minutes later, the host, Stan Grant, stopped the programme and asked the young man to leave the audience. Was the young man aggressive? Was the young man rude? Was the young man calling out? Was he heckling? No, no, no and no! Rather, another audience member had heckled him earlier.
The programme continued for some minutes. Then, Stan Grant, decided, without any provocation by the young man, that said young man, leave the audience. Indeed, he insisted that the young man, leave. Why? Because the young man is Russian.
Suggested solution:
I have been watching the ABC for years! And, the same for Q and A. I have never witnessed anything like it! Stan Grant is a most incompetent interviewer and should not be allowed to host Q and A. Additionally, he should apologize unreservedly for the embarrassment and harassment he caused that young man on national television. Further, Stan Grant lectures instead of furthering the interview. I will never feel inclined to watch any programme he hosts.
