The Salvation Army USA complaint: Nightmare before Christmas

My complaint:

Let me start by saying this past weekend my family went Christmas shopping and everywhere we went Wisin Salvation Army collecting money for supposedly our community in times of need especially during the holidays as a ring the bell each one of my family members including my grandkids play some money in the buckets in several different stores I find myself very set back in Disturbed with what happened to me yesterday I called the Salvation Army to hopefully get some kind of guidance for Christmas help for someone that just came into a tragic hardship in Lost her child and recently is in process of guardianship is she too was already facing a hardship recently losing her job returning her vehicle to the bank and facing foreclosure I know it’s a lot for a person to handle especially during the holidays I called Rogers Arkansas store they were quick to say if I would have called a few weeks ago they could help me of course that wasn’t an option it’s 10 days prior to Christmas the lady ran through a list of people I could maybe get help from for this little three year old boy mind you Salvation Army even had to Thrift Store so it’s kind of shocked with the response is that there was nothing they could do before hanging up she told me to go ahead and call Fayetteville store and talk to whoever answered maybe they could do something so I did as soon as your buddy answer the phone I explained I was referred in a situation that this person was facing it was asking if there was anything that they knew of she kind of laughed Then sarcastically said right now it’s a little close to Christmas you’re going to have to call churches or something we can’t help you immediately she hung up by then tried calling back and it went to her answering machine I left a message saying that I really felt that that was uncalled for it to be hung up on I thought they should be publicly voiced and waited just happened is she owed an apology I called the other store back in the lady told me that she was sorry that that happened and she wish there was something she could do I then broke down in cried could not believe that Salvation Army is still at the collecting money for our community it has a thrift store and there was absolutely nothing I could do except for hang up and somebody asking for help during this sad time is 3 old little boy brought me his blanket he told me that cry this little boy had no idea what did just happened I sat there and cannot believe that my family and myself just put a bunch of money several different times in two different Bell ringers tills for our community now I have a big question so basically there’s a cutoff time end of October November that if somebody needs help during the holidays it has to happen during that time in anything after that too bad but yet everyday the doors are open collecting donations from our community everyday via online or phone or drop off or bell ringing so what are you collecting for next year it really shocked me that she told me that if I couldn’t have called her a few weeks ago she could have helped seriously they can’t find it in their heart to get a gift bag out of the store in bag up a few small items for a three year old little boy that just lost his mother I feel like they should be public in our community I feel that if our community knew that they were still taking money for our community and not dispersing any sort of help whatsoever 2 weeks prior to Christmas for a little boy I feel like the town would be very shocked and disappointed as I am thank you for your time just wanted to what you know that we will not be putting any more donations in the bell ringing till you’re supporting Salvation Army with blood drives donations of any kind used to this horrible rude person I got a phone call this person left a voicemail and told me her name was Teresa and that she had customers at her window and she hung up because she couldn’t help and it’s frustrating when they can’t help so that was her excuse for hanging up it said if I wanted to call back I could are you kidding me thank you for your time so sad and so shocked.
