About Tastecard
While Tastecard is a dining discount membership giving cardholders two for one and money off deals at participating restaurants, discount schemes of this kind attract a consistent set of complaints: free trials converting to paid subscriptions, renewals taken automatically without a reminder, cancellations that do not stop the next payment, restaurants listed that no longer accept the card or apply extra conditions at the table, and refunds that are slow to appear after a membership ends.
The membership number and the sign up confirmation set the start date, and bank or card statements show every payment taken since. Keep the cancellation confirmation, the screen or email that stated the trial length and price, and a screenshot of the restaurant listing and its terms as they appeared on the day of booking. Renewal dates decide most subscription disputes.
Listed restaurant no longer taking the card? Put it in writing through us. Other members hitting the same charge can back the case up and share what actually got their subscription stopped.
Common customer service questions about Tastecard
How do I file a complaint about Tastecard?
Do you have a dispute or a bad customer experience with Tastecard? Report it through our website to maximize the chance of getting it resolved.
We help you write an effective complaint in minutes. Our AI models are trained on thousands of effective complaint letters. Then we push it through emails, social media, paper complaint letters and other tools at our disposal. And you are not alone: our helpful community is there for advice.
How do I contact Tastecard customer service?
Contact Tastecard through the help and account pages on the Tastecard website or in the app, signed in to the membership the question is about, so your membership number travels with the query. Have the membership number, the email address the membership was taken out with, and the card or bank statement lines showing every payment collected. If the problem is a payment, quote the exact date and amount as they appear on the statement rather than the figure you were expecting, because that is what the merchant searches on. If it is a restaurant that turned the card away, give the restaurant name, the date and the listing exactly as it appeared when you booked.
Restaurant turning the card away at the table when the listing said it was accepted? Bring it here and we help you write it up in minutes, drawing on thousands of complaint letters that already worked.
How do I cancel my Tastecard membership?
Cancel a Tastecard membership through the account area of the website or app, and do it before the renewal date rather than after the payment lands, because a renewal already collected becomes a refund argument instead of a simple cancellation. Get the cancellation confirmed by email and keep that email. Cancelling the payment at your bank on its own does not always end the membership, so do both if a charge has already gone through after you cancelled: a recurring card payment can be stopped with the bank as well as with the merchant. Note the date, the time and the reference number you were given, and check the following statement to confirm nothing further was taken.
Why was I charged after my Tastecard trial ended?
A free trial on a dining membership converts to a paid membership automatically unless it is cancelled before the trial period runs out, and the reminder does not always arrive, so a charge like this almost always traces back to a trial that expired. Find the sign up confirmation: it states the length of the trial, the date it ends and the price that follows, and that email is the strongest document in the dispute. Compare the date the payment was taken against that end date. If you cancelled first, produce the cancellation confirmation and ask for the money back to the original card. If the renewal price and date were not made clear at sign up, say so plainly, because that goes to how the membership was sold.
Charged for a year you never meant to buy? Raise it through our complaint process and our case coach keeps advising you on what to send next and when to take it further.
What do I do if a restaurant will not accept my Tastecard?
Screenshot the restaurant listing before you go, including the offer, the days it runs and any conditions, because listings on discount schemes change constantly and a screenshot taken on the day is what settles the argument afterwards. Restaurants can also apply their own conditions at the table: certain days excluded, a set menu only, a minimum spend, or a cap on how many diners the offer covers. If the card is refused, ask why, pay the bill and keep the receipt rather than arguing at the table, then complain to the membership with the screenshot, the receipt and the date. If a large share of the restaurants near you have dropped off the list since you joined, name them, as that goes to what you were sold.
Card refused at a restaurant still listed as taking it? Set it out here and we put the complaint to the membership by email, on social media and in a printed letter, with the listing screenshot and the receipt attached.
What do people complain about most at Tastecard?
Nothing has been reported about Tastecard here yet. Our research shows what typically goes wrong with dining discount memberships: trial periods converting into paid subscriptions, renewals collected automatically without a reminder, cancellations that do not stop the next payment, restaurants still listed that no longer accept the card or that add conditions at the table, and refunds that are slow to arrive once a membership ends.

Yes. We have an active community of consumers, and complaints here are public: people who ran into the same problem with Tastecard can give you advice or back you up with their own story. A complaint with a community behind it is much harder to overlook.
