SunTrust and BB&T merged in 2019 and the combined bank took the name Truist. Legacy SunTrust accounts, cards and online banking were migrated over, and the SunTrust brand is no longer used for new banking. In practice that means a problem that started at SunTrust is now handled by Truist, so say in your opening sentence that the account was originally a SunTrust one and quote the old account number if you still have it.
