Sonic Drive-in complaint: Messed up order

My complaint:

I was there around 3 p.m. on 30 March 2022. I order a hamburger, 2 cheeseburgers, a small strawberry cheesecake shake, 2 small vanilla shakes, a small chocolate shake, tater tots, fries, mozzarella sticks, 4 pretzels, and 2 corndogs. I paid with my Discover card and was not given a receipt which is normally fine, but was not even offered the option. The shakes were all rung medium. I overlooked that nad said fine. When we finally got the food, since we were in the drivethru, we left. Lately you can only order through the drivethrough. When I got home I realized that I was missing three of the pretzels, and the one I had was cold. So I called and a distracted, and slightly rude teenager asked if I was still there….if I was there, I would have just come up tot he window… Then she asked if I had my receipt, which I wasn’t given one and then told that it would have to be looked up. But without the order number there was nothing they could do. I get that, but I wasn’t offered a receipt and missing three items is kinda significant. It was a $46 dollar order!

Suggested solution:

First, they could start with an apology! Sorry we messed up the order. Sorry we didn't give you a receipt..... and we'd be happy to do something about it when you come back in. How about take my name and information down and call back when you find the receipt or order number? Offer the option to come by and pick up the rest of my order later, since I can't just drop everything and come right now and get it. I go to fast food because it is quick and speed is a priority with my autistic child. Sigh. We've all worked in that industry at some point in our lives and I get it. But my money is not just throw away money, just because you messed up.
