My complaint:

Tried to return a vacuum to Argos Didcot, as the power (despite being 2200) and foot suction were inadequate. It simply didn’nt pick up.
The very ill informed employee advised that as it had been used, we could not return as they couldn’t resell it! We explained we had the receipt, that it was not ‘fit for purpose’ and we had only had it for 10 days. We wanted to exchange for another make and model, which was £100 more expensive. The sales assistant would not budge. Argos need to educate their employees on the customers statutory rights and how to communicate with purchasers. We will return tomorrow and hopefully receive a better reception.

Return and get a replacement from Argos
