My complaint:

I met my tax preparer once in 2022 at the Chambersburg location. After that I would work with my tax preparer exclusively online. This year I had opted to go with the drop off method, not aware that my preparer was not at the Gateway location and I even said I could drop it off to whoever was available to make it easy. They scanned all my documents into her and we would message back and forth. When everything was finalized an appointment was arranged at the Greencastle location and I am not close to this location would not be able to make it that timeframe. I had explained that I canceled the appointment as I was unavailable during that time and asked if it was okay if I went to the Gateway location, as that’s where I dropped everything off. I was told that was fine that she would reach out to that location and inform them.
When I get there they had none of my documents for me. The front desk agent explained she didn’t have the documents and that I had to wait for a preparer to print my documents. She also said she saw where it said that in my corespondents to come to this location.
It took this other preparer no time to print my info and while I understand it was a frustrating situation he was pleasant.
He was explaining where I needed to sign and the front desk agent became very rude. She cut him off and said she’d take over- when I was signing the documents she asked the preparer who hadn’t done my taxes, but just printed my documents if I had to pay to which I said I did , she ignored me and asked if it was coming out of my refund again not asking me and I said no.
I was signing my papers and the front desk agent snatched the papers out of my hand and flipped it over saying it helped her to stay organized. She could have just told me instead of reaching over and turning the papers over.
Front desk agent at the Gateway location in Chambersburg was incredibly rude. Like I said I get the frustration but I don’t think she should have taken it out on me.

Suggested solution:

An acknowledgment would be nice. Or pay it forward to the next person. We don’t need to be treated poorly for a miscommunication issue.
