My complaint:

I am very upset first of all my account was closed without my knowledge. Second my card did not expire until 1220 (card was canceled before December)and I was never sent a new card. Greendot acknowledged they closed my account but when I call it says my cards expired purchase a new one. Ive called been on hold several times for a hr or more just for the music to stop or the phone disconnects. But now to make it even better i can’t talk to a live person because my card is expired
Messages i got from Greendot:
Green Dot: Your card 8466 will be reactivated by 2AM CST. Reset PIN in mobile app for ATM access. We apologize for any inconvenience. STOP 2 cancel.

Hi T. Apologies for the inconvenience. Let’s sort this out. Your account was closed due to inactivity. But were happy to inform you that it is reinstated now due to the incoming Stimulus payment and for your convenience. Following reinstatement of the account, you are required to change your PIN in order to continue to use the card and request a replacement card using the mobile app. To report your card lost or stolen and request a replacement card, log in to your account on mobile app or website. On the app, tap Settings Manage Card Report Card LostStolen. On the web, click Account Management My Card Report LostStolen. I hope this helps.

Hi Tinika. Let’s sort this out. Your account has already been reactivated. You may request for a replacement for your expired card online or via the mobile app. Also, following reinstatement of the account, you are required to change your PIN in order to continue to use the card.

But when I call the card its still expired and closed
