I seldom use cash app instead of PayPal which does a better job of protecting users from cheats. This app makes it incredibly easy to send money to people without any safety. Today an acquaintance called wanting needing money for gasoline for his car. I told him I could send $20, he said would pay me back today. He then proceeded to claim he could not get the 20 out but that there was a minimum of $49. I sent another 20. He kept giving me different names; $Penny778. $James220. $Jaymes220. Only the last worked. When I realized he was not going to repay me but just trying to scam an elderly person I tried to reverse the payment only to see he refused that. Would anyone agree to return money they conned someone out ofv
I realize this is partly my fault but cash app should refund at least half (20) of the money this person stole and actively work to control his accounts.
