Booking.com complaint: Accomodation closed

My complaint:

REF No : 3207726314 . Arrived at accommodation at 3pm on 18022022 as booked via booking.com and property was completely closed up and in darkness nobody around…no staff, Guests or cars in carpark. Looked like it had been shut up for some time. I was unable to contact the property by phone as when I dialed the number it immediately rang off….all very strange as there had been no communication from the New Inn or Booking.com to advise of any issues.

We were very lucky we managed to book alternate accommodation with Premier Inn directly at significant extra cost and inconvenience.

I am very disappointed with this experience with Booking.com and will not be using them again.

Suggested solution:

I expect a full refund for this booking and would like the matter to be investigated and myself informed as to how and why a booking and payment were taken via Booking.com for this property when said Accommodation was closed and obviously not available.

I am one very angry and disappointed customer
