My complaint:
After I mailed a cashiers check for $1800 on a $3200 balance, they proceeded to take the full balance out of my checking account before subtracting the payment I made, which was required to reinstate my driver’s license. Now my bank says I owe them that entire amount, and this company is saying they can’t do anything about it now because whoever works in garnishments is out until next week. In the meantime, my bank account is accruing overdraft fees. I never have them permission to do this. I have records of all payments and correspondence I’ve sent and received from them. I live paycheck to paycheck and just had to eat my most recent paycheck this morning because it was set up for direct deposit. I couldn’t stop it in time from going into my -$3200 checking account. Please help me. I don’t know what to do but this is ruining my life and I just want to do what I’m obligated to do and get away from this company as fast as I can.
Suggested solution:
I want to pay what I owe according to the payment plan that was set up. I want that money put back in my checking account because I already paid half of what they’ve taken from me AFTER the fact. This can’t be legal. I just can’t be.
