My complaint:
I think Home Advisor is a Rip-off!!! They send you leads for jobs with no ryhme or reason of how they assign a fee for each job. The fees range from 9.00, 19.00, and 26.00. You never know! You call the customer and try to set something up. You give the customer your quote. They may use you, they may not. Either way, you get charged! You get charged if can’t contact the customer as well. This has happened to me twice! Forty dollars gone! I clean out hoarder houses. They called me and told me this will be great for your business. I have not received one lead related to what I do. I just get calls to rake leaves or pick up scrap. I tried doing that to make up the 300 dollars they charge. I’ll do the math for you. They charge you 26.00 for a job. You haul the trashscrap to landfill $40. That’s $76.00 in the hole. How much do you think the average person wants to pay you to do this. I’m not making any money! Not to mention I have to pay my helper. I think Home Advisor is a Rip-off! Do not use this service.
