My complaint:
Previous networks covering the KY Derby had 5-10-minute stories about the horses. NBC focuses on the people – any people. While they finally (last hour) did a good long story on Tiz the Law, mostly they stories did people: people partying in their living rooms (this year), people wearing screwball costumes, people in NON-horse racing sports, etc. A story about the horses has people in it , the key people for that horse. That’s the story. Not all this other stuff. Stories about the horses make better tv. NBC should get with it!
Suggested solution:
Provide stories about the HORSES and the people ( owners, trainers, jockeys, grooms) who are part of the horses pictures. That should be the focus. THAT is the story.
