Interactive Brokers complaint: IB liquidated a running trade in my account and caused a huge damage

My complaint:

I have had a running trade in my IB account. I didn’t want to use margin. So I started a covered call with the underlying equity fully cash paid. That trade was running smoothly for several weeks. On July 1st the account value increased as the share price of the underlying equity increased. To my suprise IB sold all my shares at that day without any warning and without any need. The damage in my account sums up to 16.400 USD. I contacted the customer service several times but they were not willing to help. They only said that this can happen and that they are not responsible. I also sent two letters to the management but didn’t get an answer.

Suggested solution:

IB should acknowledge the bug in the system and correct the mistake. I would like to get a reimbursement of 16.400 USD.
