My complaint:
To whom this may concern.
I visit Shoppers Drug Mart on Eglinton and Caledonia daily, to receive my methadone medication. I understand there is a huge stigma around individuals who for whatever reason find themselves medicated on methadone. With that said I believe it’s unfair that I’m being targeted as a thief. In less than two weeks the staff have gone through my bags accusing me of stealing. On both of the last two incidents and the incidence before that nothing was found on my person and during these incidence I’ve been called a thief. Today’s incidents happened during a busy.piont ( about 7 people witnessed) the manager went through my backpack, searching my person and again nothing was found. These incidents which are now 4 in total, nothing is ever found on my person nor my bag but I never receive an apology or an explanation besides the answer, we are just checking and we do this all the time. During the time that I’ve been going to this particular shoppersdrugmart I’ve never once noticed them do this to anyone else but myself. I’v tried speaking with the manager, but only got as far as the assistant manager who was wasn’t concerning yourself about my situation . I do not know her name but she has red hair, sh’e”s an older woman and since I spoken to her she’s begun to also follow me around the store. I would like this to stop, management doesn’t seem to what to assist me. The incidence have accelerated, I feel targeted, and not save in the store. The unfortunate thing is this particular shoppersdrugmart is the only drug store in the immediate area that’s methadone.
Suggested solution:
Solution I would like an apology for the abuse that I've endured when having to go in to get my medication. I would like to stop to maybe get some training on how to properly deal with people be them on messenger or not.
