My complaint:
Reference Book gave web address to install HP Printer.
Web address showed choices of assistance-support all starting with the letters HP-
Called a number listed under it
Was asked if they could take control of my computer to install the print drivers for that printer. I said sure, they are on my computer and start bombarding me with problems on the hard drive, and trying to sell me their services. I asked, are you an HP employee. Oh, NO they were not. I demand that HP and all Electronic companies disclose this in the Reference book that comes with the product AND when they list a web site for assistance that they tell the public who we are dealing with.
I have contacted legal firms and hope to do a CLASS ACTI
ON lawsuit. They cost me a full day of time and frustration because no one disclosed to me who I was giving computer access to until after the fact. But the Menu Address said HP!!
Friends tell me Microsoft does the same thing. I WANT DISCLOSURE, FULL DISCLOSURE! And they must not put their name on a site when it isn’t them.
Suggested solution:
I want correction in their printed Reference Booklets: An apology with some money for my time and frustration; and a correction on the web. They cannot list their name when it isn\'t them you are calling.
DISCLOSURE-HONESTY- AND A COMPANY RECOMMENDATION(S) IS JUST GOOD SENSE.
